Welcome Makaha Surfside Owners and Residents
Welcome Makaha Surfside (MSS). MSS Management consists of the MSS BOD (Board of Directors), MSS Office, MSS Security and MSS Maintenance. At the bottom of each page is a contact form where you can simply select a topic and we’ll route your submission to the right resource. All other applications and guidelines are on the Owner and Resident pages.
Aloha Residents,
The National Weather Service is forecasting a prolonged severe weather event affecting Hawaii this week through the weekend, associated with a Kona low weather system. A Flood Watch is in effect for Kauai and Oahu from Tuesday, March 10, through Saturday, March 14, with heavy rain capable of producing flash flooding, especially in urban and leeward areas.
Strong southerly winds are expected to develop on Wednesday with gusts over 45 mph, increasing Friday into Saturday, where damaging winds over 60 mph may be possible.
Thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, with the highest impacts expected Friday–Saturday, when the strongest disturbance could bring major flooding, damaging winds, and severe thunderstorms.
Operational impacts may include localized flooding of roads and drainage areas, falling branches, and disruptions to outdoor activities or temporary structures.
Please secure outdoor lanai furniture and items as it is needed.
Building C – Walkway Waterproofing Notice
Dear Residents,
Please click on the link below for the walkway waterproofing schedule for more information on when the waterproofing will be performed on your walkway floor level. Please note, the schedule is subject to change, due to weather and other unforeseen conditions.
IMPORTANT: Waterproofing installation will render walkways inaccessible for 2 consecutive days. Please plan to be in or out of your unit from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the scheduled days listed in the link below.
SPECTRUM UPGRADE WORK
Spectrum will be removing the addressable tap coax outlet located in all units and replacing them with a traditional coax outlet. They will be starting on November 13, 2025. Each unit could take approximately 45-90 minutes to complete, and service could be down for up to several hours until work is completed. Please see the MSS Office to schedule your available time slot – only 1 unit per timeslot.
Tenant Requirements:
- Access into unit
- Access to addressable tap with minimum of 3 ft clearance to outlet (i.e. furniture cleared from tap area)
- Customers with active service could be impacted if units above or below are not home for the upgrade.
SPALLING PROJECT
Seal Masters will be renovating the exterior portions of our complex, starting with Building C. There will be periodic loud noises during work hours. Please keep the windows closed on the stacks where they will be working due to workers passing by each unit daily. Please observe all cordoned off areas and abide by all warning signage. Raingutters will be worked on at this same time.

Surfside Committees

Each committee is chaired by a non-board member to ensure impartiality, with at least one board member serving as a liaison to maintain alignment with board objectives.
